Words of comfort

We received so many beautiful cards, letters, texts, emails and Facebook messages from family, friends and even strangers that gave us comfort during this difficult time. We have looked back on these messages when we are having exceptionally bad days, so we thought we would share a few here:

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Rev. 21:4

“Those we have held in our arms for a short while, we hold in our hearts forever.”

“So much hope and promise in one amazing little person-who can ever believe all that is gone. Every dream ever dreamed for this child came from the very deepest love. And that love will live on forever.”

“God will never leave you…He knows how it feels to have a broken heart. He knows how much you need comfort and healing… But He won’t hurry you or ask you to feel better until you’re ready. He simply promises to be there by your side, comforting you always.”

“Although her impact on me cannot compare to her impact on your family-know that she has changed me as a nurse and a person. Though her life was short-it was incredibly powerful.”

“Scott, you and your wife are amazing. Thanks for the lessons you've taught so many people and for demonstrating how incredible the human spirit can be. Thank you both.”

“Eden is a very lucky girl to have known so much love and to have parents who would go to the end of the Earth to take care of her. She will live on forever in the kids that she will save and in all of our hearts.”
