Preemie moms somehow have this magnetic connection to find each other and share our stories. Jill Henderson and I know that this is the reason that we found each other. Jill is the owner of Poppy Togs and Clogs, which is a local boutique in St Paul with unique apparel and accessories. But she’s also a mom of identical twin boys who were born prematurely. Jill and I literally stumbled upon each other while I was shopping in her store. I had no intention of sharing my story about the girls but Jill loves to get to know her shoppers and to help them find the perfect outfit. So during our discussion we discovered this special preemie mom bond and we talked about Eden’s Garden and the families that Eden’s Garden is helping. Jill wanted to be a part of Eden’s Garden’s fundraising and offered to host a special event at the store in which Eden’s Garden would receive 5% of the proceeds from the event.
March 14 was a beautiful spring day and Poppy shoppers came out to pick up some great fashion but also to support Eden’s Garden. The event was a success and we were able to raise awareness of Eden’s Garden. A huge thank you to Jill and Joe and everyone at Poppy who made this special event possible. It was so much fun and definitely opens the doors to possibilities!!
